Craig W. Hart
President and Chief Investment Officer
Craig has over thirty years of knowledge and experience in the investment business. Clients benefit from the sound judgement and reasoned decision-making developed from his comprehensive and diverse background.
As the Company’s Founder and Chief Investment Officer, he is intensely focused on portfolio construction and management. His experience includes founding and managing one of the first performance-based securities investment partnerships—better known as hedge funds—in the state of Washington. From 1984 to 1990 he served as Vice President Research Analyst with Seattle-based firm Ragen Mackenzie, Inc. and a Seattle-based division of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he covered many industries including Aerospace, Biotech, Forest Products, and Manufacturing.
Craig founded the region’s first stock index, called the Hart Capital Inland Northwest Index, which originally tracked fifteen of the region’s top companies.
He is a current board member of Greater Spokane Incorporated, a member of the Mayor’s Economic Policy and Forecasting Council, and a board member of Connect Northwest. He is a past member of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc’s., Regional Advisory Council, and past president of the Spokane Stock and Bond Club, a 175-member society consisting of Spokane area money managers and stockbrokers. Craig is an active member of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Washington.
